Overhead Pendant Crane: These are fixed cranes that travel overhead on rails attached to the side of the building. The cranes motions are controlled by a hand held unit attached by an umbilical cored or a radio control unit. These crane are usually located inside factories but can also but found outside running along rails on the ground and are of an "A" frame construction
Hydraulic Lorry Loader (HIAB): These are mounted at the front or rear of a LGV vehicle and are for the loading and unloading of the host vehicle, Consisting of an Inner Boom, Outer Boom, Extension and Stabilisers. Please note if a trainee is required to operate on a CITB/CTA controlled site our certification may not be accepted
Mobile Crane: These are very specialised cranes. We can only train operators on equipment up to a total capacity of 25 tonne due to the complexity of these vehicles. Mounted on multiple axles the crane is of the telescopic type with a large counter weight at the rear of the vehicle. Please note if a trainee is required to operate on a CITB CTA controlled site our certification may not be accepted
Dock Cranes (Portal): These can be of the fixed position type or mobile, A high degree of skill is needed to operate these cranes due to the size of the crane, the weight and the load to be lifted.We do not train novices on this equipment type but can provide Experienced Operator and Refresher training courses
